About the venue

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre is a convention centre in Brisbane, Australia. It is located in South Brisbane and occupies most of the block formed by Grey Street, Melbourne Street, Merivale Street, and Glenelg Street.  The conference is being held in the Grey Street section of the centre (Grey Street entry) on the river side of the complex just next to the Southbank precinct.

Public transport is available, including:

A comprehensive network of trains, buses and city cats (ferries) link the Centre with Brisbane city and suburbs. Translink tickets are the best way to visit and travel around the city. The Translink website contains more details:http://www.translink.com.au/

By Train
The closest train station is South Brisbane; only a few minutes walk away. A regular Air Train service operates between Brisbane’s international and domestic airports. Travelling time is approximately 25mins. Tickets are available from the Information Desk.

By Bus
The Cultural Centre is the main hub for most bus routes, only a few minutes walk away adjacent to the Queensland Performing Acts Centre. A Free Loop downtown bus service circles Brisbane’s Central Business District only.

By River Cat
The CityCat Ferry stops at Southbank Terminal 2 which is located on the Clem Jones Promenade. CityCats run daily from 5.30am-10.30pm.

By Taxi
A dedicated taxi rank is located at the main entrance of the Centre on the Cnr Merivale and Glenelg Streets. Taxis are also accessible in other locations in the South Bank precinct including the two hotels – Rydges and Mantra.

Australia - passport and visa information

If you are planning to visit Australia for a business event such as a conference, meeting or seminar,

In May it is autumn in Brisbane. Autumn signals the end of the hot summer when average temperatures drop between 15 - 25°C (59 - 77°F), and the city experiences low humidity and less rain.

Cancellation policy

If you are no longer able to attend this event a substitute attendee may take your place. However, if you wish to cancel your registration a full refund, minus a $220 (incl. GST) service fee, will be given provided you have notified us in writing via by email to confadmin@arrb.com.au at least 10 business days before the start of the conference.

No refund is available for cancellations under 10 business days prior to commencement of conference.

Registration substitution is only accepted by sending written notification (email acceptable) to the Conference Coordinator confadmin@arrb.com.au. Substitutions must be made before Monday, 2nd April 2018. Another person may be substituted for the registered delegate. The new delegate will be acknowledged in writing. After Monday, 2nd April 2018 the registration for the conference is binding and no substitutions will be made. By submitting your registration you agree to the terms of the cancellation policy.

A list of all delegates will be made available to all conference participants. The list will provide the delegate's name, organisation, state/country. If you do not wish your contact details to be
included in the delegate list, please write to ARRB's information officer info@arrb.com.au

Helmets for Kids school program donation

ARRB is committed to the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety, which is targeting the more than
1.3 million deaths that occur every year. About 60% of deaths occur in Asia, with many involving motorcycles. Motorcyles are a primary form of transport in the region for children as well as for adults.

ARRB Group will donate $25 from every conference registration to support the Helmets for Kids
school program. Since 2000, the program has distributed more than 500,000 certified tropical helmets to schools throughout Asia. Each $25 donation provides a helmet and associated training for school children and teachers.
